Hike La Val - Ciampëi - Côr - Biei - La Val

This easy circular hike with start in the centre of La Val winds along the characteristical rural landscapes of our valley and allows you to see some of the most beautiful "viles" (the traditional widespread rural settlements) of Val Badia.

 

*By car

  • Coming from Innsbruck: take the A13 and the A22 toll motorway and exit at Bressanone/Brixen, following the signs to Brunico/Bruneck along the Val Pusteria/Pustertal road as far as San Lorenzo/St. Lorenzen. Follow the signs to Val Badia/Gadertal 
  • Coming from Verona-Bolzano: take the A22, exit at Bressanone/Brixen and continue as above

The circular route starts from the centre of the village and continues along path no. 6 to the little church of Santa Barbara (1509 m), the emblem of La Val.

Continue on the left to the hamlets of Ciablun (1572 m), Runch (1600 m) and Biei (1613 m). The route, slightly uphill, follows the forest road no. 5 to continue along the paths no. 4B and no. 4 to Côr (1894 m). From this belvedere, looking to the right you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Marebbe Valley and to the left of Mount Putia.

For the return journey, continue on path no. 4 to Ciampëi (1516 m) from where you take the direction of Biei following the signs "Tru dles Viles". On path no. 5 you descend to Cians (1468 m) from where you return to the village of La Val along the main road.
