Hike: Nova Levante to the Stadl Alm farm and Karersee Lake

The Karer See is one of the most magnificent Alpine lakes, famed for its dark green water and the beautiful mountain backdrop.

 

Take highway's exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the left and continue to Nova Levante until the parking at the cable car (about 20 min. from highway toll booth). Then on foot to the centre of civil defence.

The trail leads below the civil defence centre in Nova Levante on trail [27] to the Stadl Alm hut. Then first on trail [25], then on trail [25A] and finally on trail [8] to the Lake Carezza. Return on the same path.
