Hike to the Wölflhof

This tour through the heavily forested uplands of Deutschnofen/Nova Ponente offers a lot of different scenery and leads to the Wölflhof, where people can stop off.

Take highway´s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the right and continue to Nova Ponente. Take the first exit and shortly afterwards turn off to the car park (about 30 min. from highway toll booth). 

Starting from the Café Bar Luisa, take the road and go past the sports center. Continue on Trail [5] and Trail [5A] to the Unterkaplun Hof (at an elevation of 1,301 meters above sea-level). Continue on Forest Trail [3] to the Wölflhof (1,290 meters above sea-level). You can turn in here for a rest and refreshments. You can return via the European Long-Distance Trail [E5] towards the Gattererhof (you’ll be afforded a splendid view of the lowlands, the Salurn/Salorno Gap, and the Brenta Mountains). Continue on the gravel path and asphalt trail until you come to the village center of Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente and end up back at your starting-point
