Winterly family hike from the Laab hut to the Neuhütt hut

The pleasant family hike starts at the Laab Alm, 1,649 m and leads along the forest path [1] through the forest to the Neuhütt hut1,780 m. Both alpine pastures are open and invite you to stop for a while and to relax.

Take highway's exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d'Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the right in direction to Nova Ponente (about 30 min. from highway toll booth). At the roundabout at the entrance to the village, take the fourth exit in the direction of Laab. Follow the road until you reach the Laab Alm (Attention: single-lane alpine road is used by hikers and cyclists!).
