Winter hike to the Lieg hut

The Lieg Alm can be reached on three different paths, which provide ambitious hikers as well as families with an eventful day.

Take highway´s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the right and continue to Nova Ponente (about 30 min. from highway toll booth). Along the road is the hotel Ganischgerhof.

Parking directly on site.

The hike starts in Nova Ponente, below the hotel Ganischgerhof. From the parking lot trail [9] leads in just 1 ½ hours through the snowy winter landscape to the Lieg hut. The hike leads back along the same path.
