Family hike to the Messnerjoch hut

This ideal family hike leads along a comfortable forest path to the Messnerjoch hut,
from where you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain ranges. For the little ones there is a great children's playground and a petting zoo.

Take highway's exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the left and continue to Nova Levante, continue to Carezza/Karersee about 8,5 km until the crossroad, turn the left and continue to Tires/Tiers about 4 km. The guest house Jolanda is on the right side (about 40 min. from highway toll booth).

With the public bus line 185 via Tires or via Nova Levante with the line 180 or 184 with change to the line 185 at Paolina; bus stop: Jolanda; online bus timetables: www.suedtirolmobil.info/en/

The family hike leads from the Albergo Jolanda through a comfortable forest road to the Messnerjoch hut. The forest road starts across the parking place Jolanda on the Niger road and leads above the Malga Frommeralm. Then follow the trail [1B] until you reach the Messnerjoch hut. The way back leads on the same route.
The walk is feasible even with buggy.
