Geo-Trail - Hill of the Holy Sepulchre

A short panoramic hike to the Hill of the Holy Sepulchre with its chapel as well as trenches and a bunker dating back to World War I. • Hiking time: 20 min

Through the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley to Klausen/Chiusa; turn into Villnöss/Funes valley and drive to Mittermühl. Turn left and continue to Teis. 

• From the village centre of Teis, walk to the east, almost to the entrance of the village. Immediately after the underground garage of Hotel Teiserhof, the trail to the Hill of the Holy Sepulchre starts to your right. The slightly ascending trail initially leads to the bunker which dates back to World War I and then to the Holy Sepulchre Chapel (17th century). Information boards provide information about the surrounding villages, mountains and the geology of the area. The unique view extends from the Geisler Mountains in the east to Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley and to the Zillertaler Alps.
