The starting point of the trail is in Compatsch. It passes by the Franziskus Church and then continues left of the road over wide alpine meadows and through a small forest directly to the cross-country skiing center in Ritsch. Even beginners will find challenging sections here. For advanced and technically proficient cross-country skiers, this trail serves as a connection to challenging trails starting at the cross-country skiing center in Ritsch. This trail is also popular for warming up. It can also be skied in the opposite direction.
The road to the Seiser Alm Nature Reserve is closed to private traffic from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During this time, you can reach the Seiser Alm by the Seiser Alm Bahn from Seis or by bus from Kastelruth.
