Snowshoeing to the Schillerhof farm

This snowshoe expedition to the Schillerhof arm leads you over gently undulating countryside above the Tierser Valley. It boasts breathtaking views over the Rosengarten mountain, and is not particularly challenging on a technical level.

The set-off point for this snowshoe walk is the Nigerpass. Even at this point, the views over the Rosengarten are absolutely stunning. The trail then winds along a trail through the Nigra forest and on to the Vöstl mountain hotel and further on to the Jocher Hof farm, past the Hagner Alm mountain hut, and on to the Schillerhof. This loop trail begins on the big forest trail  and ends at the Nigerjochhaus restaurant.
