Winter hike in the Tschamin Valley

Medium

3h 45min 12,21 km 564 m max 1694 m

The wildly romantic Tschamin Valley between the Schlern and the Rosengarten is the perfect destination for a winter hike for all those who love unspoilt nature. The destination of this winter walk is the Rechter Leger, a wonderfully situated box-seat spot with views over the Grasleitentürme towers and the Tschaminspitzen peaks.

The winter hike to the Rechter Leger begins in St. Zyprian. Make your way over the snowy Traunwiesen meadows to the entrance to the Tschamin Valley and on to the Schwarzen Lettn. The trail becomes narrower here as you head uphill to the Rechter Leger, an alpine meadow with incredible views over the Grasleitentürme towers and the Tschaminspitzen peaks. From here, cross the Tschamin River and head down the other side of the river and back to your set-off point.
