MTB-Tour "Demuth Trail" (007)

One of the most impressive MTB tours starts in Sexten at the info point of the Bike Academy Sexten Dolomites, where the Helmbahn cable car helps you up to 2,000m. From here the tour continues to the Hahnspielhütte hut and along a wide, well-surfaced path to the Sillianerhütte hut (2,450m). Follow the path further to Hornischeck (2,500m), which is bypassed on the left-hand side. Here you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Three Peaks and the Sexten Dolmites to the south and the Großglockner to the north. The entire 7km long Demuth Passage to the Kniebergsattel mountain pass (2.400m) is technically very challenging, with narrow exposed trails (S2/S3) and - depending on your technical ability - some carrying or pushing passages. When you reach the Kniebergsattel mountain pass, you take an old military road to the Nemes Alp and from there over an uphill single trail to the Klammbach Alp at 1,940m. The last descent of the tour leads along the "Erla Trail" to the valley station of the Drei Zinnen cable car and back to the starting point.
