208 MTB Tour Sellaronda clockwise

Effort

60,00 km 440 m max 2488 m

What has enthused skiers from all over the world for decades is now also valid in summer for mountain bikers, for example circumnavigating the impressive Sella massif in one day. Altogether seven mountain cable cars make this possible by reducing the almost 4,000m in altitude difference, which you would otherwise have to struggle up, to a tolerable 800m of altitude difference. In this way, what would have been an impossible undertaking for the average biker becomes an unusual dream tour with unforgettable panoramas in the world natural heritage Dolomite Mountains and an enormous amount of fun going downhill with relatively little effort to go uphill.

Start: Dantercepies lift in Selva Val Gardena

From Selva di Val Gardena take the Gondola Lift ‘Dantercepies’. Just under the top station there is the first single trail which leads to the Gardena Pass and then continues down until Colfosco. From Corvara there are further two lifts to reach the “Alta Via”, a flowing path up to the Campolongo Pass. Here take the chairlift Campolongo and start the descent on another single trail to Arabba and to the next cable car Porta Vescovo. At the top the bikers can admire the scenic view of the peak of the Marmolada Glacier and the manmade Fedaia Lake. The descent down to the chairlift Saletei is particularly challenging. From the Pordoi Pass there is a long and very panoramic bike trail which leads down to Canazei. Once in Campitello take the cablecar Col Rodella. From the top station on another short descent you will reach the Sella Pass. From there continue on a path just under the Sassolungo mountain until you come back to Selva di Val Gardena.
