The last 150 m elevation gain are child’s play when taking this more leisurely alternative making use of the lifts:

Even families can make the most of this tour to the Rasciesa Hut. While the more sporty family may choose to pull out all the stops and reach the summit by bike only, everyone else can opt for this alternative making use of the funicular. The turn off to the funicular and to the alternative can be found approx. 400 m after leaving Ortisei. Enjoy the view from the cabin of the funicular and, before you know it, you’ll have reached the mountain station of Rasciesa. Once you get off the funicular, the woodland path climbs 600 m until it joins the normal path. The ideal meeting point to conquer the last elevation gain and kilometres.
