towards Bolzano for a short distance and turn left at the outskirts of the village onto the almost flat path number 6, which passes through meadows and past farms. Cross the Tschafonbach and then follow the slightly ascending path number 3 to the hamlet of Prösels and take a short detour to the castle of the same name. For the return journey, you can either use the same access path or take bus number 176.

From the cultural center, the hike starts south along the settlement area on trail number 6. Shortly before reaching the southern edge of the village, you will reach an intersection. Here, the trail turns left and follows the southern foothills of Völs towards the main road. Cross it and continue following trail number 6. You will pass by the Lenz farm and hike partly uphill through meadows and apple orchards until you reach a small wayside chapel. From here, it goes slightly up and down, past the Peternader farm, down to the Rio Völs. Afterwards, the trail passes by the Seppelermüller and Trafisöler farms, where you cross the Schlern river.

At the next fork in the road, leave route number 6 and follow route number 3. This will take you along the Hochrainer farm, through the Prösels meadows and pastures, until you reach the asphalt road. Follow this road in a western direction to reach Prösels Castle.
