From Compatsch, the route goes across meadows and pastures towards Ritsch Schwaige, then continues past Hotel Icaro to the mountain station of the St. Ulrich cable car and back to Ritsch Schwaige. It then continues past the Rauchhütte to the highest point at 2,050 meters, just below Goldknopf at the Almrosenhütte. From there, the route goes through Hotel Panorama and Laurinhütte back to Compatsch. The terrain consists of gravel, asphalt, and mountain paths. The race course presents a special challenge for both professionals and recreational runners.
