Seiser Alm

Joch cross-country trail

Ciężka

15,40 km 430 m max 2063 m

The Joch trail is the longest and most challenging trail on the Seiser Alm. From the Ritsch cross-country skiing center, the trail ascends steeply over the snow-covered alpine meadows to the top station of the Panorama chairlift. Numerous loops lead over the Ladinser Moos towards Joch and Spitzbühel and past the Laurinhütte back to the starting point in Ritsch. The special feature of this trail is the panoramic view of the Seiser Alm's landmarks. You can see the Dolomites peaks Lang and Plattkofel, the Rosengarten, and of course the Schlern.

The road to the Seiser Alm Nature Reserve is closed to private traffic from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During this time, you can reach the Seiser Alm by the Seiser Alm Bahn from Seis or by bus from Kastelruth.
