Seiser Alm

256 Schnaggenkreuz with Tschafon variant

Anstrengend

7,07 km 404 m max 1374 m

The route runs along the slopes of the towering Hammerwand and Tschafon, giving bikers an extra challenge if you still have some energy left after the Schnaggenkreuz route.

The Tschafon variant splits off from the Schnaggenkreuz Cross loop just before the hamlet of Umes; at the crossroads to the Tschafon way, where the regular route leads to Ums, take the left (towards the “Strickler Häusl”). Unlike the regular route, you can clock up a few metres of elevation here. This variant leads you up to 1,375 m at the foot of the Völseggspitze and Tschafon. The descent leads you past the Schönblick mountain restaurant. 1 kilometre further on, you meet up with the Schnaggenkreuz loop route again; if you want to take a trip to the Schnaggenkreuz cross, head straight on here.
