Theme path: Monte Piano - Museum of the 1st World War

The Open Air Museum on the Monte Piano of the First World War  is one of the most important witness of the battles between Austria and Italy in the years 1915-1917. It consists of trench warfares, tunnels and emplacements.

From Toblach in southern direction and further on to Misurina.

The theme path starts at the Rifugio Bosi hut (accessible with the shuttle-service or by hiking from the Genzianella restaurant in Misurina). From the hut the trail no. 122 leads slightly upghill, but not difficult, to the summit of the Monte Piano.
