Hikes in the Dolomites - Three Peaks
A vast network of marked hiking trails, paths, and via ferrata routes crisscrosses the unique mountain landscape of the Sexten Dolomites. The highlight, however, is the Three Peaks Circuit, which offers an exceptional view of the peaks. A stop at the Rifugio Tre Cime, with a view of the north face of the Three Peaks, is definitely worth it. You can find the exact route of this impressive hike, a UNESCO World Heritage site, here on this page. The south side of the Three Peaks belongs to the Italian province of Belluno, but the more beautiful and impressive view is from the north side (South Tyrol).
Hiking in the Three Peaks region
For experienced hikers, the Dolomite region of the Three Peaks offers excellent hiking opportunities through the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park. This includes the beautiful hike from Prags to Seekofel, which is also detailed on this page. Hikers and mountain lovers will also enjoy walking along the foot of the Paternkofel. It is definitely worth bringing your camera along for the journey.
