Seiser Alm

Seiser Alm hut tour with Rosszähne variant

Strenuous

4,36 km 160 m max 2143 m

The "Rosszähne variant" offers an interesting route especially for trained cyclists. It's an exceptional hut tour, especially for those who want to get some extra exercise before the descent to Saltria. For example, the idyllic "Dialer Kirchlein" offers a short but worthwhile stop with a magnificent view.

To take the "Rosszähne variant," turn left about 700 meters after the Mahlknechthütte. Follow the road until you reach the junction for Tierser Alpl, where the small church of Dialer is hidden in the woods. You can choose between the climb to Tierser Alpl or the forest road. For the latter, please keep to the left. Halfway through, continue on the hiking trail no. 7 to the left until you reach Thomaseth Schwaige, where a fence divides the trail. Continue on a wider path towards the Zallingerweg trail. If you follow the forest road to the left, you will pass by some streams; otherwise, enjoy a smaller trail that runs slightly off the beaten path. The Zallingerweg trail finally connects to the Seiser Alm hut tour just before the Zallinger mountain inn.
