MTB round trip - challenging enjoyment with a fantastic view over the Dolomites of the Seiser Alm. A varied route with a sporty challenge and a natural landscape experience - that's how one could describe the Seiser Alm Hut Tour.

Although the road to Seiser Alm is closed to private traffic between 9:00 and 17:00, you can reach Compatsch and thus Seiser Alm by cable car or bus during this time.

 

From Compatsch, you ride on an asphalted road towards the Panorama mountain station, where the path turns into a forest road. Accompanied by an impressive mountain panorama, you will come across several places to stop and eat, such as the Edelweiß Hut, Almrosen Hut, and Mahlknecht Hut. After a descent and a second climb on the Zallinger trail, the bike route passes sulfur springs until it reaches the Zallinger mountain guesthouse. From there, you head towards Monte Pana, where the first part of the descent is very rocky and requires some technical skill. You then ride again on a wide forest road and are rewarded with a breathtaking panorama. After passing by Saltnerschwaige and reaching Saltria, you return to Compatsch via the Almstraße. If you want to shorten the return journey with a less demanding route, you can also ride directly from the Zallinger mountain guesthouse via trail 253, passing by Gasthaus Tirler, to Saltria.
