Wuhnleger Lake loop route

Witnesses of the past have reported that in 1943 a bomb was dropped, creating the small pond at Wuhnleger. The pond hosts a variety of amphibians and insects, offering an impressive diversity of species. The view of the Rosengarten and Vajolet Towers, as well as their reflection in the pond, is a natural spectacle that should not be missed.

From the starting point in Tiers, the tour follows the church path and the asphalted Oberstraße in the direction of Tschamintal. Several farms are passed along the way until reaching the Weisslahnbad via a forest road. From there, it's only a short distance to Tschamin Schwaige, the turning point of the tour. After a break, the route returns and shortly after Weisslahnbad, turns right and heads up to visit the highlight of the tour, the Wuhnleger pond. The subsequent descent continues in a western direction before the tour ultimately meets the Völsegger path, which leads back to the starting point in Tiers.
