Winter hike Corvara - Colfosco - Pisciadú waterfalls

The gentle hike through the Dolomites winter landscape winds at the foot of the majestic peaks Sella, Cir and Sassongher.

Walking along the Pisciadú river, crossing snow-covered meadows and silent woods you arrive at the foot of Pisciadú waterfalls. In winter the waterfalls form a spectacular ice fall.

*By car

  • Coming from Innsbruck: take the A 13 and the A 22 toll motorway and exit at Bressanone/Brixen, following the signs to Brunico/Bruneck along the Val Pusteria/Pustertal road as far as San Lorenzo/St.Lorenzen. Follow the signs to Val Badia/Gadertal 
  • Coming from Verona-Bolzano: take the A 22, exit at Bressanone/Brixen and continue as above

From the valley station of the Boé cabin lift cross the snowy meadows northwards until the main road. Cross the main road passing through the underpass and take the path on the left towards Colfosco. After about 800 meters, it is time to take another underpass. Cross the road and take the path along the Pisciadú stream and passing the camping, continue along trail n. 28 direction Colfosco and to the entrance of the Val de Misdé. The path, well prepared and signed, ends in a vast snow-covered clearing at the foot of the Grup dl Sela.

For the return you can follow the same path or from Colfosco you take the sunny Str. Mersa to Corvara.
