The winter hiking trail begins at the roundabout in Völs and ascends towards Obervöls/Ums. Take a left turn at Hotel Heubad and follow trail no. 1 towards Völser Weiher. The path passes by Edelansitz Zimmerlehen and several farms, eventually reaching Völser Weiher after 45 minutes. The return journey follows the same path.
