The snow-covered Kalvarienberg (Kofel) in Kastelruth is the destination of a short but beautiful winter hike. On this hike, you will experience stunning views of Kastelruth, Santner, and the surrounding area. As a place of worship and relaxation, the Kofel is popular with both guests and locals alike.
The start of this tour is at the Krauseplatz. This is located in the village center of Kastelruth. A short, but somewhat steep path (marked no. 15) leads from the Krauseplatz up to the Kalvarienberg. After a short walk around the Kofel, the path leads back to the Krauseplatz on the ascent route.
