Winter hike to Sanon Hut

The hike starts at the mountain station of the Seiser Alm Cable Car in Compatsch and leads from there to Ritsch. The path continues across vast alpine meadows and leads to the impressive Sanonhütte, from where you have a great view of the Langkofel and the Plattkofel. The return route follows the same path back to Ritsch. After a slight ascent, the trail continues to the Tuene Hütte and past the Hotel Steger-Dellai back to Compatsch.

The road to the Seiser Alm Nature Reserve is closed to private traffic from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. During this time, you can reach the Seiser Alm by taking the Seiser Alm Cable Car or the bus. Departure from Compatsch is possible at any time.

The walk begins at the Seiser Alm mountain station in Compatsch and leads out to Ritsch and then on, through vast Alpine meadows, to the Sanon hut with its incredible views over the Langkofel and Plattkofel. Return to Ritsch along the same route, and then a gentle climb takes you to the Tuene hut, past the Steger-Dellai Hotel and back to Compatsch.
