Winter hiking tour: Seis - Laranz Loop route

Medium

2h 56min 10,37 km 279 m max 1162 m

The Laranzer Forest is like a mysterious fairytale forest. Here you can find peace and regain your strength. This forest hill was inhabited as far back as the time of Ötzi, the Iceman. The easy circular hike through the beautiful pine forest leads to the Königswarte. From there you have a breathtaking view. The hike is possible in summer and winter.

The bus no. 170 will take you from Kastelruth or Völs am Schlern to the starting point in Seis am Schlern. Parking is also available in the centre of Seis am Schlern.

The starting point of this hike is the village center of Seis. From there, we follow the main road in the direction of Kastelruth. At the turnoff for "Mirabell" (alternatively by bus to the Mirabell stop), we continue in a right curve past Rungghof to the turnoff for "Sportplatz". We then follow the marked forest path to Königswarte. This offers a great view. We follow the hiking trail in a curve past the Lanzin Höfe and Telfen (bus stop) back to the starting point in Seis.
