Farms Hike in Nova Levante/Welschnofen

Easy

With the fabulous view of the surrounding mountains, this hike is an absolute Must-Do here in Val d'Ega. The hike is suitable for the whole family. The two refreshment stops invite you to enjoy homemade dishes.

Take highway´s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the left and continue to Nova Levante until the cable car (about 20 min. from highway toll booth).

The route leads from the church square (Kirchplatz) in Nova Levante to the Lengeria pilgrimage church on trail [5] and continues to the trapping pit. Next, follow trail [1] to the Schillerhof tavern (1,555 m) and continue on trail [4A] to the Hagneralm Alpine farm. Fantastic panoramic views of the Latemar and Rosengarten massifs can be enjoyed from either hut. Finally, follow trail [4A] back to the church square.

An alternative route begins at the Nova Levante cable car valley station. The lift ascends to the Frommeralm tavern. From here, follow trail [1A] from Niger Pass and along the forest road [1] to the Hagneralm farm (turning onto trail [4A]) or to the Schiller Hof tavern.
Return via trail [1] and [5] back to the village.
Alternative for return: Hagneralm farm - trail [4A] - trail [4B] - trail [15A] - Rechenmacher´s Rosnegarten - trail [3A] - Nova Levante cable car valley station.
